Biography
Nikos Menoudakis was born in Athens. He has studied and explored music, sound engineering, and music technology both in Greece and abroad. Since 1990, he has been active in contemporary music and sound production, working both as an artist and as a technical or scientific collaborator.
He apprenticed in Epirotic polyphonic singing (style of Pogoni – Ktismata) with the Kotsos family, under the guidance of Evangelos and Anthoula Kotsou. He has performed extensively both in Greece and internationally, proudly serving and promoting the musical traditions of his homeland.
In addition, having conducted numerous artistic and ethnographic recordings of polyphonic groups, traditional choirs, and folk ensembles, he has gained valuable experience in this musical idiom from various perspectives.
He teaches music and music technology and co-leads and teaches polyphonic singing in experiential workshops of Epirotic polyphony, as a member of the creative and teaching team of Evangelos Kotsos.
