Come to the second Epirus music-dance village!

After the successful first music village at Ktismata of Pogoni in August 2025, ICEM will hold the “Mousika Ktismata 2026”!

Similar cultural events are held in villages in Crete, Pelion, Drama, in the Cyclades and elsewhere. The International Center for Epirus Music in collaboration with the Municipality of Pogoni decided to organize the first and, now, the second cultural village in Epirus!

Why in Pogoni? Of the 18 municipalities of the Epirus Region, the municipality of Pogoni and the entire wider area are undoubtedly the cradle of Epirus musical tradition.

Why Ktismata? Out of the 986 villages of Epirus, we chose the border village of Ktismata, which was called Arinista a century ago. It is at the heart of the polyphonic songs of the region that also covers the Greek-speaking municipalities of Albania. Polyphonic songs are the historical beginning of Epirus music. The village has ample space and a well-equipped recording studio!

For a week, dozens of instrumentalists, singers and dancers will teach the genuine tradition of Epirus. Along with the workshops, there will be events, presentations and festivities with the participation of well-known artists and residents of the wider area.
